This year, the eyes of the Red Bull world turned toward our own backyard here in Cincinnati for the Red Bull Soapbox Race. The race travels the globe, making a new stop in a new city each year. For this year’s field of 50 competitors, Red Bull asked Powerhouse to do what we’ve done from the start: create a limited-edition print conveying the energy of a race long after the racers have left the starting ramp.
This week’s Powerhouse Live series features up-and-coming synth-pop group out of Nashville, COIN. They stopped by our shop right before the start of their tour with Passion Pit. Keep a lookout for them this summer—not only does their album arrive in a couple of weeks, but they’ll be back on the road with Betty Who and Neon Trees.
Watch a stripped-down version of their single, Run, as well as their take on Simon & Garfunkel’s Cecilia. Enjoy!
We’re super stoked to share our latest Powerhouse Live session with Jukebox the Ghost! The band recently played the Taft Theatre—so we met up right before doors and recorded stripped-down versions of Postcard and Made For Ending. As far as locations go, this rivals the best of them. Enjoy!
We’re very happy to release this week’s Powerhouse Live session from way back at MidPoint Music Festival 2014 here in Cincinnati. Ohio’s own Saintseneca stopped by the Powerhouse Live Lounge to hang out, borrow some wifi and treat us to two amazing stripped-down versions of Fed Up With Hunger and Takmit.
This week, we’re happy to release our MidPoint Powerhouse Live Lounge session with Chicago/Cincinnati-based band, Fathers. Trust us, liking these two songs is the easiest thing in the world—they’ll be stuck in your head and you won’t mind a bit. Check out Night Terror and My Song below.
